Part-Time Track Communications Coordinator

NASCAR is a community of passionate individuals dedicated to the growth of the sport. They are seeking a part-time Track Communications Coordinator to thrive in a fast-paced live-event environment, focusing on communication, coordination, and execution of various event-related tasks.

Responsibilities

Assist with creation and distribution of weekly schedules of events
Support opening ceremonies planning and execution
Manage public address (PA) announcements, T-shirt shoot reads, and concourse display information
Coordinate program editing, proofreading, and distribution
Prepare announcements and scorer driver labels
Support sponsorship activations, renewals, and sales outreach
Assist with AR collections related to sponsorship accounts
Prepare sponsorship contracts and related documentation
Coordinate hospitality sales, reservations, parking permits, and pass mailings
Oversee weekly catering needs and suite setup
Maintain balcony reservation lists
Prepare and send sponsor thank‑you letters
Manage scoreboard playlist updates and graphic requests
Coordinate prizes, fan promotional items, and in‑program features

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in communications or related field; or a combination of education and relevant experience
Minimum of two (2) years' experience in communications
Proficiency with company-provided hardware and software
Valid driver's license
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
Highly self‑motivated with a strong work ethic and results‑oriented mindset
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline-driven environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time-management skills
Professionalism, persistence, and the ability to handle multiple internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work evenings and weekends as required during race season

Preferred

sports industry experience preferred but not required
