National Youth Advocate Program is accepting internship applications for the PASS/Healthy Ways team. This role involves providing mental health services and support to youth and families while gaining hands-on experience in various therapeutic areas.

Responsibilities
Providing appropriate individual, group, and family mental health services, case management, transportation, and other professional services, meeting or exceeding established outcomes thresholds on behalf of persons served
Traveling as needed, to provide community-based services to, and on behalf of, youth and families in compliance with organizational, contract, and regulatory requirements
Completing all required documentation in a timely manner
Completing all required training in a timely manner
Coordinating and monitoring services for the youth and family in the community, including mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social services
Regularly reviewing and modifies youth-based plans to assure consistent progress and success on written plan goals
Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with assigned foster parents and families of origin
Providing safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as required to assure safety and stability for youth served
Actively participates in the weekly supervision process
Qualification
Required
Master's of Social Work or Master's of Clinical Counseling Internship
Enrollment in a Master level Social Work or Master's level Clinical Counseling program required
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution
Enrolled in an accredited institution for a Master's Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services Field
An internship or field placement is a requirement by the institution
Upon the completion of the internship, the individual would receive credit toward their pursued degree
LSW, SWT or CT licensure required
You must be 21 years of age on the first day of your internship
Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance, and a good driving record
A willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours in the service of foster caregivers, families of origin, and persons served
Capacity to be flexible and responsive to youth served, foster caregivers, system partners, and internal customers
Capacity to remain objective and professional in all areas of job function
Demonstrates tolerance and respect for the ideas and actions of others
Capacity to effectively work with and be respectful and sensitive to persons from various cultures, socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, and racial backgrounds
Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs
Valid driver's license
Reliable personal transportation
Good driving record
Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability
Preferred
Experience working in direct service with youth and families is strongly preferred
