Senior Account Executive
Transaera is a fast-growing, VC-backed startup redefining the future of air conditioning with a materials-based approach that generates 40% energy savings. They are seeking a Senior Account Executive to lead outbound sales, close new business, and help establish the foundation of their sales engine.

Responsibilities
Drive new business by prospecting building owners, developers, engineers, and mechanical contractors
Build and manage a strong outbound pipeline through cold outreach, networking, industry events, referrals, and market research
Own the full sales cycle: discovery, technical coordination, proposal development, negotiation, and signed PO
Sell advanced HVAC units into commercial buildings, aligning system value with energy, performance, and cost goals
Collaborate with internal engineering and technical teams to deliver tailored solutions and accurate proposals
Help define and refine sales messaging, pricing strategy, and go-to-market motion as a founding sales team member
Manage and grow customer relationships post-sale to support long-term partnerships and repeat opportunities
Negotiate contracts and agreements that create strong outcomes for both the customer and Transaera
Maintain accurate pipeline visibility, activity tracking, and forecasting in CRM
Provide market feedback on competitors, customer needs, and industry trends to leadership
Qualification
Required
5+ years of B2B closing experience
2–5+ years of experience selling within commercial HVAC, mechanical systems, building systems, or adjacent technical industries
Proven track record of sourcing and closing new business (not solely inbound or account management)
Experience selling into commercial building stakeholders (owners, operators, engineers, contractors, developers, or facilities leaders)
Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical equipment (does not need to be an engineer)
Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding revenue targets
Experience managing deals through technical evaluation and contract negotiation
Familiarity with CRM systems and structured pipeline management
Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment
This role would require 70%-80% travel
Preferred
Experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup
Background selling energy efficiency, decarbonization, or climate-focused building technologies
Experience with DOAS, ventilation systems, or advanced air-side solutions
Existing relationships within the commercial real estate or mechanical contractor ecosystem
Experience selling service agreements, maintenance contracts, or performance-based solutions
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
