They are seeking a Liens Specialist to support their Post-Treatment Department by identifying, negotiating, and resolving liens and reimbursement claims related to client settlements or awards.

Responsibilities
Review case files to identify potential liens (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA, private health insurers)
Request and evaluate lien statements, medical records, and billing documents
Confirm lien validity and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Negotiate lien reductions with insurers, healthcare providers, and government agencies
Draft dispute letters, compromise proposals, and resolution agreements
Collaborate with attorneys to develop strategic settlement plans
Maintain detailed and organized lien records, deadlines, and resolutions
Track payment disbursements and provide regular updates to internal teams
Prepare lien resolution summaries and client-facing reports
Stay current on changes in lien laws and Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) regulations
Assist with audits or appeals as needed
Role may include other relevant duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum 2 years of experience in lien resolution, medical billing, workers' compensation, or personal injury law
In-depth understanding of Medicare/Medicaid lien processes, ERISA, and private insurance liens
Strong negotiation and critical thinking abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems (e.g., Clio, Litify, SmartAdvocate)
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage a high caseload independently
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
