ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK
Harmony Healthcare Long Island is a non-profit healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional health care for all patients. The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing and managing all accounts payable transactions, ensuring vendors are paid accurately and on time, while maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Responsibilities
Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment requests
Verify invoices for accuracy, proper approval, and coding
Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents
Prepare and process payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers)
Reconcile accounts payable transactions and statements
Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payments
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations
Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records
Maintain vendor files and resolve invoice discrepancies
Assist with month-end closing and audits
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
1-3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software
Advanced level Microsoft Office skills in Excel, Word and Power Point
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
Ability to remain calm when encountering stresses and pressure
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred
Experience with ERP systems (Sage Intacct, PN3 Solutions)
Knowledge of 1099 reporting
