Responsibilities
Lead mechanical design of new components for the program
Develop hardware and component level requirements/specifications
Oversee and participate in testing and qualifying mechanical subsystems including DO-160
Support and update existing mechanical designs and processes
Find creative technical approaches to encourage frugality and to invent and simplify
Qualification
Required
BS degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
4+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
Experience in planning and execution of testing mechanical systems
Experience with CAD software for use in design, drafting, and product lifecycle management
Preferred
Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume
Experience in electronics and/or aerospace hardware
CATIA/ENOVIA experience
DO-160 qualification and aerospace formal verification experience
Experience with requirements development and documentation
