Application Support Technician

They are seeking a reliable and technically skilled Application Support Technician to provide mission-critical application support within a New York City 911 Communications Center, ensuring uninterrupted operations for emergency call takers and dispatchers.

Responsibilities
Provide first-level, on-site technical support to 911 communications center staff using public safety applications
Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues in real time to support emergency operations
Serve as the primary point of contact for end users during assigned shifts
Escalate and coordinate complex issues with senior support teams as needed
Document issues, resolutions, and operational impacts clearly and accurately
Maintain professionalism and composure in a high-stakes, public safety environment
Qualification
Required
Proven experience providing face-to-face IT or application support to end users
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service mindset
Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
Comfortable working in a secure, on-site operational environment
Ability to pass and maintain a required background check
Preferred
Experience supporting Public Safety, 911, CAD, or emergency communications systems
Call center or mission-critical operations support experience
Familiarity with incident management or ticketing systems
