ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR

The Judicial Council of California is accepting applications for the position of Administrative Coordinator with the Leadership Support Services office. The Administrative Coordinator will provide administrative support for the Appellate Court Appointed Counsel Program and the Temporary Assigned Judges Program, including data gathering and program reporting.

Government Administration

Responsibilities

Provides administrative support required for the Appellate Indigent Defense Oversight Advisory Committee quarterly audit process of the 120 court-appointed counsel randomly selected claims
Provides lead administrative support to the Appellate Court Appointed Counsel Program and the Temporary Assigned Judges Program and their operations
Provide administrative support required for the Temporary Assigned Judges Program’s tasks supporting the 58 counties and approximately 360 retired assigned judicial officers
Provides data gathering and initial evaluation for use in program reporting
Identify District Courts of Appeal – Court Appointed Counsel System, Judicial Information System, and ServiceNow system program needs and gaps and recommend improvements
Identify appropriate standard query or create ad hoc query and perform data mining in the various programs’ systems and PowerBI
Attend virtual and in-person meetings to provide administrative support and facilitate resolutions of technical or meeting issues
Act as lead requisitioner and goods receiver in FI$Cal and ensure expenses are charged to correct areas
Track pending program issues and their resolutions

Required

Three (3) years of administrative support experience, including some experience in area(s) of assignment (such as accounting, writing/editing, database/spreadsheets, direct support to upper management, etc.)
OR Associate's degree, preferably in area(s) of assignment, and one (1) year of administrative support experience, including some experience in area(s) of assignment (such as accounting, writing/editing, database/spreadsheets, direct support to upper management, etc.). Additional directly related experience and/or education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis
OR One (1) year as an Administrative Specialist, Facilities Specialist, or Fiscal Services Specialist with the Judicial Council of California or one year of experience performing the duties of a class comparable in the level of responsibility to that of an Administrative Specialist, Facilities Specialist, or Fiscal Services Specialist in a California superior court or California state-level government entity
