Project Coordinator

Harvard Graduate School of Education is dedicated to advancing education through research and practice. They are seeking a full-time Project Coordinator to support the EASEL Lab in executing projects focused on social-emotional learning interventions for children and educators, particularly in crisis contexts such as Ukraine.

Responsibilities

Creating, adapting, and refining SEL Kernels and related materials based on local feedback (e.g., classroom games and activities, teacher training slides and facilitation materials, implementation supports and tips/guidance)
Coordinating SEL Kernels rollout activities (e.g., updating the Kernels Ukraine website, maintaining and monitoring the Kernels Ukraine Facebook Group, helping to design and lead virtual events such as webinars and opening/closing events with educators, school leaders, and MOE representatives)
Ensuring successful data collection in the field (e.g., creating and distributing surveys, designing protocols for focus groups or structured observations, conducting focus groups and/or interviews with study participants)
Preparing materials for translation and coordinating with partners and/or vendors for translation, printing and distribution, etc
Preparing project-related contracts, invoices, and payments to vendors
Preparing project-related data to be cleaned and analyzed
Supporting the analysis of data and interpretation of results
Preparing internal project reports for funders and partners
Preparing materials for external audiences, such as conference presentations, journal articles, project briefs, and other publications
Day-to-day project coordination, including creating timelines, maintaining and updating project work plans, communicating with project partners/research sites, creating agendas for project meetings, and monitoring and documenting progress towards deliverables
Coordinating TI-SEL Kernels Trainings and Booster Sessions with participating districts and schools (including communicating with partners and schools, preparing teacher/counselor packets and training materials, and ensuring facilitation team is prepared re: content and logistics, etc.)

Required

Minimum 3 years related experience
Must have experience with SEL research and programs, for example content development, program design or delivery
This position requires local travel (to Boston-area research sites) and may require international travel
This position requires demonstrable initiative, ability to work independently, and strong interpersonal and administrative skills
A high capacity to plan and organize is required
Must have excellent organizational and communication skills
A master's degree in human development, education, or prevention science
Knowledge and experience with SEL and trauma-informed practices
Experience with data collection systems (monitoring, evaluation, research)
Experience developing curricular materials for early childhood education (PreK-5)
Ability to work collaboratively and independently
Excellent attention to detail
Strong writing and analysis skills
Willingness to collaborate with team members on diverse project tasks
Familiarity with education in emergencies or crisis contexts
