Specialty Underwater Services (SUS) is hiring a Project Engineer to contribute to the Montgomery Locks and Dam project, enhancing navigation on the river. The role involves managing project takeoffs, preparing proposals, and developing relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.

Responsibilities

Manage project takeoffs and documentation
Prepare project proposals
Obtain quotes from suppliers
Develop strong relationships with: customers, vendors, subcontractors, quality control personnel, operations, and management staff
Use exceptional organizational skills for effective project management
Leverage interpersonal and communication skills for successful task completion

Required

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software (particularly Excel)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to new challenges
Must be willing and able to travel or relocate as necessary for projects
Bachelor's Degree in a related field, which may include Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Management or the equivalent experience in the construction industry
At least 1 year of experience with marine, heavy civil or industrial construction is required

Preferred

Experience with US Army Corps of Engineers is a plus
Professional Engineer license is a plus
