American Honda Motor Company, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Equipment Technician who will play a critical role in the building and installation of production equipment at their auto plants across North America. The technician will provide production support and contribute to technology transfer and process improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

Ensures equipment and/or software is running properly for production by following standard procedures
Partners with a more experienced Technician to troubleshoot and repair tooling and leverages knowledge gained from training to begin independent troubleshooting of 'low' risk items
Proactively looks for/identifies potential for process and quality improvement and calls to attention of Supervisor; may occasionally participate in developing recommendations
Supports new model activity, as assigned by project leader and/or Leadership
Participates in checks, tests, trials etc. under supervision of more experienced Technicians and/or Leadership
Utilizes assistance of other Technicians assigned to the job, as appropriate

Required

High School Diploma or GED
2 Years of Related Experience in mechanical field or qualifying degree
Maintenance program, tooling build shop or robotic program experience
project leadership/planning capability
written and verbal communication skills
