The QA Specialist will coordinate coding and documentation reviews of patient medical records to ensure compliance with billing practices and communicate feedback to providers and staff.

Responsibilities
Coordinate coding and documentation reviews of patient medical records to ensure provider billing practices are compliant with applicable rules, regulations, and policies
Assess the accuracy, completeness, specificity, and appropriateness of diagnosis codes based on services rendered
Assist with the assessment and implementation of educational materials
Communicate with providers, staff, and practice directors to provide feedback related to QA, including follow-up as needed
This may include coordination and participation in meetings with providers, staff, and directors and preparation of meeting materials (agendas, presentations, etc)
Other duties and tasks may be assigned as appropriate or necessary
Qualification
Required
Ability to work in a team environment by building and maintaining positive working relationships with providers and other corporate personnel
Detail-oriented problem-solver
Knowledge of healthcare and medical terminology
Excellent time management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal communication skills
Excellent written communication skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred
Prior experience in healthcare
Clinical or certified coder background
