Responsibilities

Designing and managing hybrid and multi-cloud environments across Azure, AWS, GCP, and Oracle using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
Managing CMS’s cloud infrastructure and networking, including provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting systems for identity and access management, security, and disaster recovery
Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines that integrate testing, security, and compliance controls
Leads security and compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to FedRAMP and FISMA standards, managing disaster recovery plans, and coordinating incident response
Drives innovation and cost optimization through FinOps practices, mentors junior engineers, and guides the adoption of new technologies

Required

You must be a U.S. Citizen or National to apply for this position
You will be subject to a background and suitability investigation
You must have IT-related experience, at the GS-13 grade level in the federal government, demonstrating each of the four competencies listed: (1) Attention to Detail, (2) Customer Service, (3) Oral Communication, (4) Problem Solving
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1) Developing cloud systems across multiple platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, Oracle) and upgrade outdated IT infrastructure to modern, secure cloud solutions; 2) Implementing automated security processes, deployment pipelines, and ensure all systems meet federal cybersecurity requirements; AND 3) Participating in agency-wide cloud improvement projects and find ways to optimize spending and save money on cloud services
