Hand Finish Technician (Deburr) - 2nd Shift
Martinic Engineering Inc is seeking a Hand Finish Technician to work on 2nd shift. The role involves de-burring, grinding, polishing, and cleaning machined parts to ensure quality, along with inspecting products for defects and maintaining safety procedures.

Responsibilities
Inspect and analyze machined aerospace parts for burrs, sharp edges, and surface irregularities using magnification tools and blueprints/specifications
Remove burrs, sharp edges, and other imperfections using hand tools, abrasive wheels, stones, scrapers, small power tools (e.g., Dremels, grinders), and polishing equipment
Interpret and follow technical drawings, blueprints, engineering specifications, and process sheets to ensure conformance
Maintain tight tolerances and high cosmetic standards as per aerospace quality requirements (AS9100, NADCAP, etc.)
Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions and surface finishes
Perform in-process and final deburring operations in collaboration with machinists, inspectors, and engineers
Document work completed and maintain traceability according to company and industry standards
Follow all safety procedures, ensuring tools and workspaces are maintained in good condition
Assist in continuous improvement efforts to enhance productivity and quality
Perform all other tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience in a deburring, finishing, or precision assembly role in aerospace, medical device, or high-tech manufacturing
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and geometric tolerancing (GD&T)
Familiarity with aerospace quality systems (AS9100) and inspection techniques
Ability to work under magnification for extended periods
Prior experience deburring, grinding and polishing precision machines parts
Previous inspection experience
Prior experience using micrometers and calipers
Prior experience using hand and power tools, including small files and deburr knives
Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds
Must be able to tolerate exposure to noise, dust, and industrial machinery
Must work cooperatively and professionally with co-workers, mostly in very close proximity
Preferred
Experience working with aerospace materials (aluminum, titanium, Inconel, etc.)
Prior experience flow testing and pressure testing
