Responsibilities
Primary contact to customer to build and maintain strong partnership ensuring Jacon is the customers “go to” supplier for fasteners and related parts
Respond timely to quote requests by managing the entire process from quote solicitation, quote entry, supplier sourcing, pricing markup and quote follow up
Learn customer flow down requirements and ensure parts are quoted meeting all requirements
Work with supply base to get pricing and lead time options to present to customer. Understanding supplier strengths by product and building relationships are key to efficient turnaround of customer quotes
Support order processing and customer service issues as required and escalating to internal teams if necessary
Build, follow up, document and manage business leads
Engage in continuous improvement and learning through all your internal business processes, product knowledge, sourcing and industry trends
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of inside sales experience in Aerospace fastener industry
Solid understanding of supply base and knowing when to source from Manufacturers vs Distribution
Proven ability to use all industry tools to find parts quickly
Understanding of return on inventory investment calculations to ensure we purchase correct amount of parts for immediate requirement and possibly future requirements
Personable with ability to build relationships over phone, email and at times in person meetings
