Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of accurate and competitive bids for electrical projects
Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project scope and requirements
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment
Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services
Prepare and submit bid proposals to clients within designated deadlines
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gain a better understanding of project requirements
Maintain accurate and organized records of bid documents, correspondence, and other project-related information
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and pricing to ensure competitive bidding
Assist in the review and analysis of project costs and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures
Participate in post-bid meetings and discussions with clients to address any questions or concerns
Collaborate with the project management team to ensure a smooth transition from bid to project execution
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
1-2 years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably in the commercial or industrial sector
Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction processes
Proficient in reading and interpreting project plans, specifications, and other technical documents
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
