Responsibilities

Help build tools and analysis that connect real operations (field ops, dispatch, sales, accounting) to clearer reporting, better workflows, and smarter decisions

Python-based automation + data cleanup/reconciliation

Dashboards / recurring reports for branch performance, labor efficiency, AR, and job profitability

Lightweight internal tools (some JavaScript; simple web interfaces)

Process improvements that reduce manual work and improve accuracy

Market research and competitive analysis (where to expand, who’s competing, pricing dynamics, demand signals)

Growth and marketing analytics (lead sources, conversion, response times, funnel performance)

Operational strategy projects (what’s slowing us down, where we’re leaking time/money, how to fix it)

Ad-hoc problem-solving across the business (if you like variety, you’ll get it)

Required

Must be interested in learning finance and accounting in a practical, real-world way

Students (CS / MIS / analytics / econ / finance)

Recent grads exploring business or strategic finance

Can code (Python preferred; strong fundamentals count)

Learn fast, communicate clearly, and follow through

Use AI tools (ChatGPT/Codex/Claude/etc.) as part of how you learn and build

In-person at least 2 days/week (more welcome)

Preferred

Pandas, Flask, SQL or MongoDB

Any JavaScript framework (or comfort with vanilla JS)

Interest in finance/accounting (no experience needed)
