Staff Accountant - 160015
Atrium is a people-centric organization that values collaboration and innovation. They are seeking a Staff Accountant to manage the full accounting cycle, ensuring that books are audit-ready while supporting financial reporting and process improvements.

Responsibilities
Maintain books and records in audit-ready condition at all times
Prepare full financial statement packages, including journal entries and general ledger analysis
Reconcile bank and escrow accounts; record and track escrow activity
Analyze financial and business data to support operational decision-making
Record accrued expenses and support month-end close processes
Ensure timely payment of debt, utilities, real estate taxes, and insurance
Prepare monthly workpapers and documentation to support audits
Support year-end audits and respond to auditor requests
Assist with the development of automated reporting and forecasting tools
Recommend and implement internal controls and accounting process improvements
Support special projects and perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 2+ years of accounting or finance experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and/or GAAS
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with full-cycle accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required (or equivalent experience)
Preferred
Experience in nonprofit, real estate, or asset management environments
Hands-on experience with Yardi Voyager (strongly preferred)
CPA or CPA-track are a plus
