Responsibilities
Input, categorize, and maintain accurate accounting records in QuickBooks
Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable activity
Process vendor invoices, post customer payments, and maintain vendor and customer records
Monitor bank transactions and support weekly reconciliation of bank, credit card, and merchant accounts
Track outstanding balances, follow up on past-due accounts, and keep AR and AP aging reports current
Prepare journal entries, accruals, and monthly account reconciliations
Support the monthly and annual close to ensure accurate and timely financial results
Maintain the general ledger and assist with updates to the chart of accounts and accounting policies
Help produce GAAP-compliant financial statements and internal reporting
Assist with revenue recognition for ecommerce transactions, including refunds, chargebacks, discounts, and promotions
Support inventory accounting including COGS, adjustments, and reserves
Assist in building and maintaining forecasts tied to revenue, margin, operating expenses, and cash flow
Help prepare budgets
Analyze variances and support clear explanations of business performance drivers
Contribute to financial models that support labor planning, inventory, and growth decisions
Support labor forecasting for warehouse and corporate teams
Partner with operations and HR on headcount planning
Assist in forecasting wages, overtime, payroll taxes, and benefits
Support analysis of labor efficiency and productivity
Work closely with the Founder and CFO to provide timely, accurate financial data
Assist in preparing materials for leadership reviews, lender requests, and internal updates
Flag issues, risks, or discrepancies that may affect financial performance
Partner with operations and supply chain teams to support inventory controls
Help monitor unit economics, fulfillment costs, and margin drivers
Support analysis across ecommerce platforms and sales channels
Help maintain internal controls appropriate for a founder-led environment
Support audits, tax filings, and work with outside advisors when needed
Ensure accounting practices are documented and consistently applied
Maintain accounting, payroll, and reporting systems
Identify opportunities to improve close timelines, reporting accuracy, and data quality
Assist in integrations across ecommerce, inventory, payroll, and payments
Support building scalable processes as the company grows
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong hands-on experience with daily accounting tasks and the close process
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
Familiarity with forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis
Experience with ecommerce, retail, or consumer products
Solid understanding of inventory accounting and COGS
Comfortable working directly with founders and fractional finance leadership
Experience with QuickBooks Online
Preferred
Experience in founder-led or high-growth environments
Experience partnering with fractional finance teams
Familiarity with ERP, payroll, and ecommerce platforms
