They are seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee capital accounting processes, including the review of capital spend requests, asset management, and monthly reporting for decision-making and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Review and approval of capital spend request forms, invoices, and various requests from others
Oversee research of assets to be disposed when replaced or otherwise removed from service
Ensure the appropriate depreciation method and life is used for each asset and that depreciation is calculated and posted to the general ledger with accuracy and completeness, in a timely manner
Prepare manual adjustments to system-calculated depreciation and gain\loss, as needed
Prepare monthly reporting related to PP&E, gain\loss, and impairment reserves for use by Management for decision-making and financial reporting
Ensure general ledger is reconciled timely and completely and ties to the Fixed Assets system
Assist with preparation of annual plans and quarterly projections

Required

Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years professional experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
CPA or candidate
Supervisory skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Preferred

Fixed Assets accounting experience strongly preferred
