Estate/Trust Administration Paralegal

The role involves guiding clients through the probate and trust administration process, preparing necessary tax returns, and maintaining accurate records.

Law Practice

Responsibilities

Guide clients compassionately through the probate and trust administration process
Prepare and file Pennsylvania Inheritance Tax Returns (REV-1500) and Federal Fiduciary Income Tax Returns (1041)
Collect and organize financial documentation related to estate assets, liabilities, and distributions
Maintain accurate probate records, accountings, and estate bank statements
Draft estate inventories, disclaimers, receipts and releases, and other court documents
Ensure timely filing for three-month inheritance tax discount and closing procedures
Communicate with clients, financial institutions, and beneficiaries to facilitate information flow and task completion

Required

Required Minimum 5 years of experience in Pennsylvania estate and trust administration
Required Proficiency with Lackner 6-in-1 Probate & Trust Administration software
Strong working knowledge of PA Inheritance Tax, Federal Estate Tax, and Fiduciary Income Tax
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines with accuracy and empathy
Experience working in a legal case management system and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong commitment to the mission of the firm
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative, fast-paced team
High emotional intelligence and empathy for working with clients and families during sensitive times
Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
