Responsibilities
Develops and maintains technical understanding and working knowledge of the quality system
Performs routine laboratory procedures such as preparation of samples, solutions, and references
Conducts routine laboratory tests and procedures
Assists with non-routine samples and special projects
Sets up, operates, and calibrates laboratory equipment in preparation for sample analysis
Maintains simple laboratory records and inventory for supplies and reagents
Maintains laboratory equipment and supplies by cleaning and maintaining quality assurance records
Maintains a clean and sanitary work area in accordance with standard laboratory practice and procedures
Works overtime and vacation coverage as needed
Qualification
Required
At least three 3 years of relevant work experience
Develops and maintains technical understanding and working knowledge of the quality system
Performs routine laboratory procedures such as preparation of samples, solutions, and references
Conducts routine laboratory tests and procedures
Assists with non-routine samples and special projects
Sets up, operates, and calibrates laboratory equipment in preparation for sample analysis
Maintains simple laboratory records and inventory for supplies and reagents
Maintains laboratory equipment and supplies by cleaning and maintaining quality assurance records
Maintains a clean and sanitary work area in accordance with standard laboratory practice and procedures
Works overtime and vacation coverage as needed
Education: 4-year college degree with a science major and/or some college with 3 years' chemical/laboratory experience
Lab Tech I: 3+ years' experience in the chemical/laboratory sector
Lab Tech II: 3-5 years' experience in the chemical/laboratory sector
Lab Tech III: 5-10 years' experience in the chemical/laboratory sector
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office 365, LIMS
Strong working knowledge and experience with Gas Chromatography (GC)
Following set procedures and standards
Applying basic mathematical skills
Planning work and selecting proper tools
