FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST
NAVWAR is seeking a Financial Management Analyst to serve in the Special Boat Team Twenty. The role involves performing budget administration tasks, formulating budget estimates, and providing financial management advice to support the organization's programs and activities.

Responsibilities
You will perform or advises on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration
You will perform the functions such as formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities
You will review and evaluate budget requests, control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures
You will recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization’s programs and administrative operations
You will implementing legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets; and providing advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization’s programs and activities
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d
You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Formulating budget and supporting plans that include the development, determination, and/or interpretation of budgetary policies and practices within the organization's needs
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: GS-09 master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related
