Safety Lane Inspector

Responsibilities

Ability to identify D.O.T. issues on any/all equipment Marten operates
Ensure C.S.A. violations are identified and repaired prior to equipment leaving facility
Clear and concise understanding of the fleets equipment and how to properly maintain the company standard
Capture and inspect all equipment at respective terminals during yard checks and monitoring
Ensure all company, EPA and Safety policies are compiled to meet local, state and federal standards
Accountable for all direct and indirect labor hours on a daily and weekly basis
Completes all repair orders in a timely manner, ensuring all labor and parts are charged to the appropriate unit
Return all unused parts to the parts room and does not abuse company tools
Responsible for the cleanliness of work area, keeping spills, grease and debris to a minimum
Ability to coach and communicate effectively with shop and driving staff
Ability to identify D.O.T. issues on any/all equipment Marten operates
