Responsibilities

Acting in a support capacity for reports, data and scheduling functions of the laboratory
Exhibiting excellent customer service skills in line with the Mercy Signature Service Standards with all customer interactions
Responsible for the skillful acquisition of all required types of specimens for laboratory testing utilizing accurate, effective, professional and confidential accepted methodologies as needed
Responsible for all processing, transport and referral of all types of laboratory specimens and associated reports

Certified Phlebotomy TechnicianLaboratory specimen processingCustomer service skillsChemistry knowledgeBiology knowledge

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent required
None required for experience
None required for certifications

Preferred

College level Chemistry, Biology, or other Science courses preferred
Previous experience in a clinical laboratory preferred
Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) preferred
