Mid LevelStandard Furniture and Mattress is seeking a Visual Merchandising Manager & Accessory Buyer to enhance the presentation of their merchandise. The role involves selecting and ordering products, creating visual displays, and ensuring compliance with merchandising standards to attract customers.

Responsibilities
Selects and orders merchandise from showings by manufacturing representatives, or other sellers, basing selection on nature of clientele, or demand for specific merchandise
Analyze and determine items (product SKUs) to offer as part of our Sales Portfolio, change items and vendors depending on movement and track the success rate of items
Ensure items are set at profitable price points that align with sales and margin plan
Travels to retail stores on a regular schedule to help stores maintain displays
Utilize Visual Walk-Through form to ensure compliance to standards are met
Originates display ideas
Create and implement visual themes/displays that can adapt to all stores, identifying current as well as future trends that enhance furniture settings
Implement a Visual Merchandising calendar that plans that reflect new, or edited themes throughout the year (change out every 8-12 weeks)
Constructs or assembles prefabricated displays
Arranges properties, furniture, merchandise, and backdrop according to prearranged plan or own ideas
Places price and descriptive signs on backdrop, fixtures, merchandise, or floor.(create these, however, placement should be directed to sales to place
Develop a consistent price tag as well as placement standards to place on furniture
Work with management on implementing auto cad for slot placements
Dresses and accessorizes products for use in displays
Develops layout and selects theme, colors, and props to be used
Prepares sketches or floor plans of proposed displays
Work with outside advertising agencies in developing and implementing marketing plans that reflect store themes, campaigns
Consults with advertising and sales officials to ascertain type of merchandise to be featured and time and place for each display
Attend market trade shows, conferences, and seminars
