Responsibilities

You will provide oral and written reports on the progress and outcome of technical assignments
You will resolve problems pertaining to the design, installation, maintenance or repair of the equipment of subsystems assigned
You will coordinate consultations to fix issues that may arise
You will follow all safety rules and regulations on radiation

Required

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
This is a bargaining unit position
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
The incumbent will be required to work in cramped spaces and in positions requiring standing, sitting, and bending for long lengths of time
May be required to carry heavy equipment
May be required to climb and work at heights up to 170 feet
The incumbent may be working in an area with dangerously high voltages, R.F. radiation, or high noises from aircraft operation
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Troubleshoots and repairs microelectronic circuits, 2) Assist in the design of communications systems and equipment for customers, and 3) Contribute to developing of modifications to electronic equipment to change its operation characteristics and improve reliability
Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successfully completed one full year of graduate level education
A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education
