Responsibilities
Perform month-end close activities within the property accounting group, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in handling capital assets
Utilize advanced Excel skills to create amortization schedules, calculate depreciation, and manage periodic asset revaluations
Analyze and reconcile fixed asset balances, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards like IFRS
Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver accurate financial data and proactively address queries related to project costs and asset management
Provide budget estimates based on expected activities, considering capital investments in fixed assets and exploration projects
Participate in managing investment projects by tracking acquisition, maintenance, and disposal costs ensuring alignment with forecasts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
At least one successful experience in fixed assets / property accounting within a corporate setting
Solid knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS standards and their application in financial reporting
Exceptional Excel proficiency, including the use of advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
Strong generalist accounting background with exposure to high-volume transactions in a global organization
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing evolving requirements as new assets are acquired
