Advanced Technician
Versa Electronics is a manufacturing company seeking an Advanced Technician responsible for the assembly and testing of circuit boards and wire harnesses. The role involves working under limited supervision to maintain quality standards and troubleshoot production problems.

Responsibilities
Perform assigned task on harnesses or other subassembly using process drawings and assembly details, demonstrating:
Component identification knowledge
Test and other checkout procedures knowledge related to components and subassemblies
Proper usage of hand tools and mechanical equipment as necessary
Analysis of circuitry, solving problems, recommending design changes to specifications
Maintenance of statistical process controls
Ability to trouble shoot production problems
Acceptable rates of production versus standards
Accurate completion of time reporting required, and
Understanding of quality policies
Soldering ability on surface mount and through hole components
Collect data for process improvement as required
Support and enforce Quality Assurance Policy and follow Work Instructions
Perform other duties as needed or assigned
Assess from drawings the proper components necessary to ensure manufacturability
Repair and rework of assemblies and subassemblies as necessary
Perform repetitious operations with accuracy and consistency
Perform simple mathematical computations
Raise Group Leader awareness to situations with potential to affect productivity and quality
Qualification
Required
Responsible for assembly and testing of circuit boards, wire harness and final assemblies
Demonstrates a high degree of flexibility by performing tasks as assigned based on workload demands in the areas of board and harness mechanical assembly
Works under limited supervision by the Group Leader
Quality and workmanship standards must be maintained
Perform assigned task on harnesses or other subassembly using process drawings and assembly details
Component identification knowledge

Preferred
Two-year electronics degree or equivalent amount of training is preferred
Minimum of two to three years on the job experience, technician or equivalent previous position is preferred
Component identification, drawing interpretation, bill of materials and routing understanding is preferred
Ability to use calipers, ohmmeters, and other test equipment in the manufacturing process
