Perform delegated routine and predictable patient care tasks/duties
Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)

Monitoring
Basic patient care and transportation
Respond appropriately to patients and families with knowledge of age-specific needs based on the emergency department scope of service
Qualification
Required
Certification as an EMT or completion of an accredited EMT course., Or equivalent education/experience
Upon hire: California Emergency Medical Technician License
Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Preferred
Coursework/Training: Basic EKG course
Coursework/Training: California Emergency Medical Technician License
Demonstrated equivalency (such as experience as a Corpsman or MD)
1 year - EMT experience
1 year - Emergency Department experience
