Responsibilities
Perform functional, regression, and system testing on DOCSIS-based CPE devices (Cable Modems, Routers)
Validate DOCSIS 3.0/3.1/4.0 features including provisioning, bonding, upstream/downstream performance, and firmware upgrades
Execute TR-069 protocol testing for remote management and configuration
Test video protocols (e.g., MPEG-TS, RTP, RTSP) and Video Management Systems for IPTV, OTT, or cable video services
Conduct manual testing of CPE features including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, firewall, NAT, DHCP, and routing
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Robot Framework, or similar tools. Automatics is a plus
Use tools like Wireshark, IxChariot, Spirent, or TR-069 simulators for protocol and performance validation
Qualification
Required
Experience with CPE provisioning systems (e.g., CMTS, ACS)
Knowledge of DOCSIS standards and CableLabs specifications
Exposure to video delivery systems and DRM
Ability to work with Linux-based embedded systems and CLI tools
Key Skills: CPE, DOCSIS, Cable Modem
