Responsibilities
Remain up to date on Cyber Security trends and emergent threats as well as the technologies/processes/procedures/controls assigned
Ensure the ongoing efficient and effective operations of the assigned systems, processes, and procedures to fully meet the control objectives. Identify control and operational improvements
Assist projects, initiatives, and other incidents and/or requests. General understanding of ITIL processes/practices and how they apply to the role
General understanding of Security Control Frameworks, regulatory requirements, and contractual requirements as they relate to assigned areas of responsibilities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Associate degree and 2 years related experience or cybersecurity certification and 2 years related experience OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience
Ability to explain technical information to technical and nontechnical personnel
Ability to work calmly under pressure and threat activity
Ability to effectively influence and modify the opinions, plans, or behaviors of others
Knowledge of network architecture and firewall security
Understanding of business needs and commitment to delivering high-quality, prompt, and efficient service
Preferred
This is an entry-level role supporting basic cybersecurity operations, such as system monitoring, user support, and low-complexity issue resolution
You will be taught how to: data collection and parsing; network & protocol analysis; tools development/analysis; vulnerability/intrusion detection; evaluation of diverse sources and formats of ingest data; devising tailored workflows, analytics and/or visualizations; working with specific tools and methodologies; producing formal/informal reports, briefings; assessment of cyber-attacks and development of effective countermeasures
Main part of the role will be diagnosing and resolving customer reported system incidents, problems, and events
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
