Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities
Working in collaboration with a design team, create design sketches, layouts, and plans
Working in collaboration with System Engineers, develop and analyze thermal fluid systems and component performance models in static, dynamic, and system controls domains
Working in collaboration with System Engineers, develop mechanical and electromechanical products by a. decomposing customer requirements to component / subsystem requirements; b. researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; c. generating product specifications; d. designing components; e. gathering feedback by soliciting observations from operators; f. and driving improvements to the design cycle
Validate and verify the quality of mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by designing and developing testing procedures and/or analysis methods based on customer requirements and industry standards
Confirm system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods and properties
Generate working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstration
Coordinate procurement of required test instrumentation and components for test stands
Coordinate the assembly of test benches
Test finished products
Generate test reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing test data and trends
Use computer-assisted design (CAD) software to create preliminary and detailed drawings of the product
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
3 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering with basic design or testing experience
Willingness to travel up to 10%
Preferred
Minimum 1 year of basic CAD experience (preferably in SolidWorks or NX)
Willingness to be a hands-on Engineer
Experience with thermal management (pumps, heat exchanger, valves, etc..)
Experience collecting, analyzing, and summarizing test data and trends
Experience test instrumentation and components for test stands
Strong Team Collaboration experience
