This role will supervise engineering staff and manage projects related to flood control design, stormwater management, and hydraulic modeling, while also mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Lead and mentor junior engineers in the development of design concepts
Coordinate with clients and stakeholders. Coordinate with other disciplines
Plan and review the production of engineering investigations, models, planning work, reports, drawings and specifications
Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for new projects, weighing alternatives and selecting the most cost-effective solution
Analyze technical problems, assess the feasibility of proposed techniques and procedures, and devise new approaches and alternative solutions
Analyze project dimension and scope, and prepare or oversee the preparation of cost and manpower estimates, schedules and job budgets
Coordinate work with other project and task managers, guides others on drafting and design of preliminary and final plans, guides others on hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and preparation of studies/reports
Provide quality control and maintain quality standards, check work performed by others
Manage projects
Perform other duties as necessary
Qualification
Required
B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering
P.E. license is required
10 years' experience since B.S. or 11 years' experience since M.S
Typically have 15 to 25 years since bachelor's degree
Understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic design principles and applications in arid regions, preferably in Southern Nevada
Good technical writing, computer and verbal communications skills
Preferred
Experience with major projects and alternative delivery is a plus but not a requirement
