Responsibilities
Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location
Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and security-related concerns
Monitor access points and restricted areas by observing foot and vehicle traffic, checking credentials and/or permits as required, and directing individuals to appropriate screening or service areas
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, reporting, and coordination with site representatives and public agency personnel
Complete routine documentation such as shift logs, incident reports, and patrol activity reports, and communicate observations promptly to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts
Qualification
Required
Valid Driver's License
21+ years of age
Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
Preferred
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
