Responsibilities
Supervise transmission and distribution crews in the field by coordinating and assigning tasks, monitoring work, and training
Monitor safety and productivity of crew members
Conduct safety meetings with crew, complete all required paperwork, JSA's, incident reports
Responsible for working with supervisor to ensure completion of annual vegetation management work plans on transmission lines
Responsible for working with supervisor to ensure implementation of maintenance strategies and completion of annual maintenance work plans
Read and accurately interpret maps, plans, construction drawings, schedules, and scopes of work
Ensure efficient use of materials and equipment
Responsible for training and development of the crew
Document all performance concerns and recommend corrective actions to supervisor
Understand and enforce ERCOT and NERC compliance standards, as well as organization specific standards
Be required to be on-call and stand-by as needed to include weekends and holidays
Performs related work as assigned
Qualification
Required
Graduation from high school or equivalent
Four to six years of progressive experience in the construction and maintenance of high voltage electric lines
Two years of experience as a line foreman
Valid Commercial Driver's License
Physical exam required
