Procurement Commodity Manager-Services
Wedgewood is the nation’s largest and most trusted provider of compounded veterinary medications. They are seeking a Procurement Commodity Manager who will own sourcing, contracting, and category management for non-product services across Enterprise Procurement, driving execution and compliance with senior business leaders.

Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for assigned services categories (Operational services, contingent labor & HR-related services, marketing services, and professional services)
Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements, define scope, develop sourcing strategies, and deliver cost / risk / service outcomes
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and master services agreements (MSAs), SOWs, NDAs, and T&Cs; identify and mitigate commercial, regulatory, IP, and quality risks relevant to pharma
Manage supplier selection, RFP/RFI processes, evaluation, and recommendation; drive timely award and onboarding
Maintain contract repository and ensure compliance with renewal, amendment, and termination timelines
Track and report category KPIs (savings, compliance, supplier performance, cycle times); escalate to senior leadership when needed
Influence and partner with senior leaders to secure stakeholder alignment and drive contract execution and performance improvement
Coach non-procurement stakeholders on procurement best practices for service requests and contract governance
Support continuous improvement initiatives (standard templates, playbooks for SOWs, service-level agreements, and contract clauses tailored to pharma/regulatory needs)
Qualification
Required
6+ years procurement/category/strategic sourcing experience, with direct experience in services procurement (professional/marketing/HR/operations services)
Demonstrated ability to independently evaluate, negotiate, and close complex service contracts and SOWs with senior stakeholders
Strong commercial acumen, contract law literacy (T&Cs, indemnities, IP, liability caps, warranties), and risk assessment capability
Excellent communicator with demonstrated experience influencing senior leaders and cross-functional teams
Proven project management skills — able to manage multiple service requests and contracts concurrently
Bachelor's degree required
Preferred
Pharma or highly regulated industry experience strongly preferred
Advanced degree or certification (CPSM, CIPS, CPP, or similar) preferred
Familiarity with pharma compliance/regulatory needs (GxP, data privacy for clinical/support services) is a plus
