Responsibilities

Drive operational excellence across the UCSF Health Network, including the Affiliate Partner Network, Community Hospitals Division, Network Ambulatory Centers and Physician Foundation
Oversee day-to-day operations, performance improvement, and the delivery of integrated, high quality care across the UCSF Health Network locations
Optimize performance at current sites and expand the UCSF Health Network to improve access to care for patients in the Bay Area
Align operational priorities with Network goals and collaborate with health system leaders to address complex operational challenges
Ensure the effective use of personnel and financial resources to execute the Health Network's annual operating plans and enabling sustainable network growth

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, health administration or clinical degree and / or equivalent experience / training
Extensive executive management experience in a complex health care organization
Expert knowledge of health care delivery models, business and strategic planning, financial management, and organizational development
Highly advanced ability to work collaboratively and effectively with medical center executives, campus leadership, external agencies, and other academic medical centers and healthcare institutions
Expert ability to establish and utilize metrics to drive excellence, support operations and facilitate integration
Expert knowledge of capital and operating budget development and management, financial analysis, and reporting techniques
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Expert negotiation and influencing skills
Highly advanced ability to build and maintain a climate of trust that inspires commitment to achieve organization goals
