Executive Director Professional Staff Affairs
Cleveland Clinic is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to serve as the Executive Director Professional Staff Affairs. This leader plays a key role in managing operations for staff, physicians, and scientists across the enterprise, overseeing professionalism and regulatory operations.

Responsibilities
Be directly responsibility for staff governance, internal investigations, professionalism, due process proceedings, personnel-related strategy and participation in enterprise-wide leadership meetings, providing input relating to Professional Staff, physician and scientist issues
Support and participate in institutional activities such as Retirement Committee, Institute Chair Council, Department Chair Council, Professional Conduct Committee and other areas as necessary
Be a member in the following groups and committees: Enterprise Board of Governors, Main Campus Medical Executive Committee, Board of Governors Professional Advancement Council, Enterprise Risk Steering Committee, Enterprise Physician Alignment Committee
Work in close collaboration with the Law Department, Caregiver Office, market and submarket leadership, clinical institutes, Strategy Office, International Operations, Education and numerous other areas that interface with the Professional Staff and employed physicians and scientists
Support Executive Administration on significant issues relating to the Professional Staff and employed physicians
Lead people in a complex environment, setting meaningful goals and ensuring accountability in achievement
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in law, health or business administration
Minimum of 10 years of experience in legal, healthcare industries or related professional areas, including demonstrated experience in dealing with complex negotiations with high-level physicians and executives
Strong understanding of and first-hand working experience with legal and regulatory requirements applicable to governance (including Codes of Regulations and Physician bylaws), physician contracting, internal investigations, employment rights, acquisitions, conflict of interest and disciplinary actions
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate
Strong understanding of legal and regulatory complexities surrounding physician employment environment
Strong understanding of governance matters, including codes of regulations, bylaws and policies and procedures
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
Ability to communicate effectively and exchange accurate information
Ability to travel throughout the health system both domestically and internationally
