Responsibilities
Provide customer service to riders, visitors, and staff by following post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures at a government transportation location
Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, concourses, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations
Monitor access points and public areas, observe for suspicious behavior and/or unattended items, and document observations according to site requirements
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with dispatch, local law enforcement, and/or emergency services as directed
Complete required reports and activity logs, communicate shift updates, and support investigations by preserving observations and available information for supervisors and/or authorized personnel
Qualification
Required
Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience
Be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire
Baton certification is preferred and may be completed post hire
