Responsibilities
Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, post orders, and site-specific policies, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate
Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of utility facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity, potential hazards, and/or unsecured access points that may help to deter unwanted activity
Monitor access points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and maintain visitor and contractor logs in accordance with location requirements
Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site operations and/or local responders as directed, and documenting actions taken
Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident reports, communicate post updates during shift transitions, and maintain required security-related records
Qualification
Required
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience
Be at least 21 years of age
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred
Loss prevention experience is preferred
