Responsibilities
Provides all necessary logistical support for judge’s work in courtrooms
Maintains chambers filing system
Manages judicial correspondence and other office paperwork
Searches for and studies legal records and documents to obtain data applicable to cases under consideration
Assists judicial law clerks in setting up court matters and file preparation
Legal research and writing projects available to an employee who is interested in receiving those additional assignments
Performs related duties as required
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Ability to ambulate to and from the courtroom
Strong organizational skills
Ability to carry and/or transport files
Ability to perform the essential functions of a position in this class
Must successfully complete a criminal background investigation
Must work in person (not remote)
Preferred
Juris Doctorate is preferred
Strong knowledge of law and legal procedures is preferred
Experience in legal document preparation is preferred
Experience in a judicial or legal setting is a plus
