Responsibilities
Develop and update system and functional descriptions, requirements documents, user guides, and technical diagrams
Collaborate with engineering teams to gather technical information and translate it into clear documentation using Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and basic graphics tools
Maintain the project document repository within SharePoint
Ensure all SDLC documentation is created and maintained on a continuous basis
Support documentation efforts related to system security, interfaces, and application functionality
Qualification
Required
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree. No specific field is required
Public Trust clearance is required. Candidates willing to obtain one are acceptable; those already holding a Public Trust are preferred to facilitate faster onboarding
Over 4 years of relevant technical writing experience
Proven experience developing technical documentation, system specifications, and user guides
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and basic graphic design tools
Working knowledge of SharePoint for document management
Ability to work effectively with engineering teams to gather and compile technical information
Preferred
Familiarity with government or federal project documentation standards
Experience working within cybersecurity or IT infrastructure environments
Knowledge of SDLC processes and security documentation requirements
