Responsibilities
Use data to uncover insights about our product and business. Apply models and statistics where appropriate to increase the rigor of our insights
Design and run experiments to test hypotheses and ship impactful features to the marketplace
Synthesize and present information to influence non-technical partners and the product roadmap
Measure the team's progress through metrics design and goal-setting
Qualification
Required
Ph.D., M.S., or Bachelors degree in Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, or other quantitative fields
Minimum 4 years of industry experience as an Applied or Data Scientist or equivalent (2+ years if holding a Ph.D.)
R or Python coding and ability to develop statistical analysis and algorithm prototyping
Design experiments, interpret the results to draw detailed and actionable conclusions
Solid theoretical and applied causal inference skills, experience applying them in a practical industry setting
Preferred
Marketplace or consumer technology experience
Modeling and causal inference
