Responsibilities
Define and deliver programs with significant complexity and/or that have broad cross-organizational, global, or technology impact
Focus on large engineering efforts that solve significantly complex or endemic problems
Partner with all levels of leadership and build consensus
Represent complex decisions, technical trade-offs, and potential solutions clearly to leaders up to 3 levels above
Influence organization priorities, system owners, business, and technology direction
Manage cross-functional communication to ensure all stakeholders are informed and needs aligned
Recognize when current programs are susceptible to prior technology failure patterns and actively steer teams to avoid repeating these failures
Know when a design or solution requires additional technical guidance from senior engineers or subject matter experts
Show excellent judgment in driving executive-level escalations
Deliver solutions that meet Amazon high standards for customer satisfaction, efficiency, stability, extensibility, simplicity, and operational excellence
Qualification
Required
10+ years of technical product or program management experience
7+ years of software development experience
7+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
7+ years of technical product or program management experience
5+ years of software development experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred
8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
