RESEARCH INVESTIGATOR
The University of Michigan is seeking an experienced researcher in Hematology/Oncology. The successful applicant will establish an independent research program and design experiments, with opportunities for academic advancement and teaching in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities
Establish an independent research program
Design and develop experiments
Engage in scientific writing, publishing, and presenting results
Teach students, lab personnel, and fellows in a laboratory setting
Qualification
Required
Applicants should hold a PhD and/or MD
Postdoctoral research experience in the area of hematology/oncology research
Experience specifically on the differentiation of acute myelogenous leukemia (AML)
Knowledge of genes involved in AML relapse
Understanding of inflammation in AML
Experience in detection of minimal residual disease (MRD)
Research focus on how sterile inflammation and interferon signaling disrupt TP53-mediated apoptosis in AML
Evidence of scholarly ability (i.e., record of publications in peer-reviewed journals, acquisition of external funding, and presentation experience)
