Responsibilities
The System Administrator (SA) maintains operations of multi-user computer and peripheral systems, including network administration within the scope of the site’s connectivity network
The SA is responsible for monitoring and correcting system performance issues, backing up and restoring files, maintaining software licenses, and assisting the ISSM/ISSO in building system and user accounts
The SA will also train new personnel, assist in deploying software/hardware deliveries, support special projects, and assist the operational crews and Ground Systems Engineers to resolve administration issues
Develop/ refine MSOC procedures, technical manuals, & training material
Collaborate with associate contractors who develop their own certified contractor operators executing space segment operations on the shared SOC floor
Communicate clearly and effectively with program management to identify and manage risks, appropriately elevating issues and concerns in a timely manner
Participate with broader SEIT processes and systems developers to ensure continuous system improvements are deployed into operations when mature and non-degrading to existing operational mission capabilities
Qualification
Required
Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance
Experience with the Department of Defense and/or the Intelligence Community satellite/payload and ground system architectures
Bachelors and 5 years of relevant experience; OR Masters and 2 years of relevant experience
Superb technical skills and experience related to ground systems hardware and software
Ability to lead, effective interpersonal skills, and strong briefing and writing skills
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and team environment with little supervision
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related STEM field
Military experience
Deep knowledge of satellite tasking, collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination architectures
