Materials Development Engineer

Responsibilities
Responsible for the technical oversight, specifications, and approval of raw materials used for manufacturing final products
Develops and maintains raw material specifications, creates and manages container drawings and documentations, and administers the qualification and approval of new raw materials
Works cross-functionally with Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing, R&D, and suppliers to ensure materials meet technical, quality, and regulatory requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Packaging, or related field
Experience with raw material specifications
Experience with engineering documentation
Experience with material qualification
Experience with solid modeling software
Preferred
Completed an upper-level educational course in microbiology
Experience with SolidWorks and/or OnShape
