Responsibilities
Oversee operational processes and procedures of the feed mill
Implement and Oversee Standard Operating Procedures, including all necessary training for production/processing personnel at the feed mill
Implement Preventative Maintenance programs and manage all maintenance with the production/processing & maintenance teams. This includes production and delivery equipment
Manage the necessary QA/QC programs, including FSMA compliance
Assist in the selection and hiring of all hourly production personnel at facility
Oversee CAP EX projects
Ensure timely ordering and receiving of ingredients for production needs by communicating daily and weekly ingredient needs to the Location Fulfillment Manager and Procurement team
Ensure proper mixing of all feeds
Manage raw material inventories to assure accurate measurements, control shrink and maintain product in merchantable condition
Coordinate production schedules, including hours of operation and scheduled maintenance downtimes with the Location Fulfillment Manager
Set and achieve production goals for efficiency and on time deliveries
Coordinate feed delivery schedules with the Location Fulfillment Manager and production team
Educate, implement, and strictly enforce all LNC Safety and Compliance procedures and programs
Ensure the facility appearance and all personnel represent LNC in a professional manner
Support and lead the Mission, Vision, and Values of LNC
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree; Agricultural degree preferred
3 years of operations experience
Active and preventative maintenance experience
Supervisory and people management experience
Effective written and verbal communication skills required
Strong sense of Customer Service with both internal and external customers
Dedication to team environment
Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast and ever-changing environment
Demonstrate the ability to lead teams by example
Safety oriented mindset
Knowledge of and experience with GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices) of Feed Manufacturing
Demonstrate a mechanical understanding of the Feed Mill
Must have the ability to manage a 24x7 shift operation
Preferred
Agricultural processing & manufacturing experience preferred
