Responsibilities
Analyze supplier performance and develop improvement plans for identified problem areas to reduce supplier DPPM and nonconformance rates
Employ Six Sigma and Lean concepts to enhance supplier quality and delivery metrics and provide training in basic quality methodologies to foster strong supplier partnerships
Support programs that assess potential new suppliers and implement Supplier Partnership concepts with focus suppliers
Review, analyze, and report on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, machining, fabrication, and electro-mechanical systems
Perform and evaluate root cause and corrective actions to remedy product or process deficiencies, ensuring their effective implementation with suppliers
Execute elements of Advanced Product Quality Planning, such as Process Flow Diagrams, Failure Mode Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Measurement System Analysis, and First Article Inspections
Perform SPC, Predictive Quality methodologies, and other problem-solving techniques
Implement Zero Defect Plans (ZDP) with critical suppliers, serving as the key technical interface between suppliers and L3Harris by aiding suppliers in developing robust processes, carrying out process/product validations, and recommending improvements in manufacturability, both in process and design
Support L3Harris operations when supplied material is identified as nonconforming and take appropriate corrective action(s) with the supplier
Work proactively with L3Harris suppliers utilizing tools such as APQP and Zero-Defect Planning to mitigate the risk of escapes to L3Harris and/or L3Harris customers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
Secret US Security Clearance
Preferred
Willingness to travel up to 25% percent
Working knowledge of PPAP implementation and associated elements
Experience with Predictive Quality and problem-solving methodologies
Supplier Development and Engagement experience
Experience presenting to upper-level management
Experience with Predictive Quality
Lean Concepts
Commodity management experience
Supplier Development and Engagement experience
Special process audit experience
Ability to focus, prioritize, and multi-task successfully to drive projects to closure
Demonstrated knowledge in CCAs, PWBs, Cables/Connectors and electronics
Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100, and associated industry standards
Experience in data analytics and problem-solving methodologies
Experience communicating with customers and cross-functional teams
Knowledge of software and hardware development lifecycles
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement tools
